iPhone OS 3.2 SDK Released but it’s for iPad Only

Well, you might expect Apple to unveil iPhone OS 4.0 during the Wednesday’s even, in addition to the announcement of iPad. What it comes out is there is no word about iPhone OS 4.0. Instead, the iPad runs on a special edition of iPhone OS that is completely designed for the iPad with a version number of 3.2.

So, what’s the new features come along with this special version of iPhone OS?

A day after the iPad announcement, Apple also released the iPhone OS 3.2 SDK (i.e. the development kit for iPad) to developers. According to the official documentation, here are a number of interesting features for the latest version of iPhone OS:

Restart/Respring apps available in Cydia

A good restart/respring application is a necessity on any iPhone or iPod Touch (at least if you are doing any sort of customizing or SSHing). So, I thought I would run through the options that are currently available on 2.0 via Cydia. As of now, there are four application that allow you to restart/respring your iPhone; iReboot, PowerTool, Respring and BossPrefs. All of these apps are pretty much the same if not exactly the same as they were in 1.1.4 and below…they have just been ported to the 2.0 firmware.
